Adventure Travel is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will work with the wider accounts team ensuring an efficient and accurate response to all types of purchase ledger queries. You will also help support the Finance department with its high volume of accounting tasks to enable the team to run efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Maintain purchase ledger and pay suppliers

Raising queries and liaising with suppliers if invoices need to be corrected.

Processing all supplier invoices accurately and on time after reviewing them
-
Ensure the accurate and timely recording, coding, checking and payment of invoices in line with company procedures and guidelines.

To reconcile supplier statements, ensure that any discrepancies are investigated and deal with supplier queries.

Assist with reconciliation of 3rd party invoices.

Raising queries and liaising with suppliers if invoices need to be corrected.

Assist credit control function in maintaining aged debts and proactively monitor invoice collections.

Prepare and send customer statements every month

Chase any missing purchase orders and make sure they are all valid

Verify supplier accounts are accurate and up to date.

Ensure internal audit requirements are met and full supporting documents are provided.

Carry out any other designated duties, as directed by the Head of Finance.

Suitable Candidate:
-
Proven experience working in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable / Accounts Assistant type role

Experience processing high volumes of invoices.

Excellent data entry skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative, and work as part of a team with a common goal.

A good level of computer literacy
-
Good communication - written and oral skills.
